wigger 68 Posted March 14, 2019 (edited) As promised, sorry for the delay. My video editing software was bunk and I finally gave up on it and decided to re-edit it with a different one. Script was written and recorded in the span of a few hours, so don't expect too much. Hope this helps some of you, and hope this puts GIANTS 300m shit heap of a "guide" out of business. EDIT: USE STATIUS WARHAMMER IF YOU CAN AFFORD Time stamps for each phase in description + comments: Advanced Guide: Script: Spoiler Quote ==Intro== It's rape here. You're a PvM nerd. You want to learn to do raids, but you have no friends. That's okay, I'm gonna teach you how anyways. .............. Shoutout to GAINTS for selling a "guide" with no audio that is literally just a video of a solo raid with no edits for 300m. Because of that gay shit I decided to make this beautiful guide for all you pvm weirdos. Gear: Bring maxed range void, blowpipe, tbow, dragonwarhammer (optional defender) super combat, 3 range pots Load of brews, a proportional amount of restores, and a few anglers for combo eats. ==Phase 1== Equip your Dragon War Hammer and Defender then walk in and drop a brew. Now pickup the staff and equip it. Enable special attack Run to the north-west most pillar Talk to the boss Rip through the dialogue Once you see her health bar, attack her once with the spec, then run to the middle tile of the pillar you were previously at. Now you enable spec again, and wait to see the static / lightning shooting out of her, once you see that you're good to send your spec on her. Now we run back and wait to get over 35% spec again. Once you have it, repeat what I just attempted to teach you. Run to the first pillar south of you if the pillar is about to break. If you don't get over 35% before you have to move pillars and you're a fixed mode nerd like myself, you'll have to do weird shit with your camera zoom and angle until you can see her in the top right corner. Same thing as before, just go when she's doing the static animation then run back. Now we just let the pillars get hit and run right before they collapse. On the last pillar at the back before you cross, if you're playing on fixed, you basically just gotta get a feel for the timing. it's approximately 4-5 seconds after the last hit on the pillar, doesn't have to be too precise Now if you're a pro like me once you get spec again you can angle your camera super tweaky to barely see the animation and bang her out. If you don't feel up to it, just wait to spec at the next pillar. ==Phase 2== Now we're on Phase 2, where you'll really only have 1 choice, which is either freeze the grey crab, or side step the grey crab. You must always barrage the green crab, do not blitz it. There is a way to do quasi-speedruns with veng, maybe I'll do a video on that if it gets enough interest. For now, if you're just starting out, I recommend barraging both crabs, as it's the safest and easiest method. I prefer sitting south of the boss, if you find somewhere else easier for you, go for it, as long as you stay within 2-3 tiles of the boss depending on the side you choose. This is important as it'll help speed up kills and make you take less damage. Vertasik has an attack where she throws lightning balls at you. If you're within 2-3 tiles of her, they bounce back and deal her damage plus lessen the amount of damage you take. We will ignore the purple crab that spawns, as it isn't worth our time. When the red healer crabs spawn we will blowpipe them down to ~20-40% hp. Start counting tbow hits from right before they disappear. You will get 4 hits on rapid before they re-spawn, if you shoot a 5th and hit, it'll heal the boss the damage it would've done. These are all the mechanics for phase 2, I'll fast forward it to phase 3. ==Phase 3== First thing you want to do is heal up, range pot, then take a sip of your stamina. The main mechanics of phase 3 are as follows: When it pulses blue under her it will be a mage attack and you need to pray mage. If there is no pulse under her and she does an animation where you see green pray range. In the case that you don't happen to see her attack animation, it is very possible to look at the projectile coming at you and then change your pray according to what is coming (blue ball for mage) (green spike for range) When you see her going towards the middle you want to use your dragon war hammer spec and then keep running in circles and tbowing her. This is the web phase. Going for two war hammer specs is some-what risky and can definitely lead to you planking. The best way I've found to do it is to hit her with 1 spec, then run under her using the minimap and then hit her again and book it for the opposite direction you came. If she catches you in a web throw pray melee on and eat over 50, because the web will instantly deal 50 when it disappears. Also plan your escape route so you don't get stuck again. After web phase you will take some normal attacks then go into what I call "the yellow tile phase" you can tell this attack has started by when she stops moving and her abdomen opens up to reveal a bright yellow inside here you need to find the yellow tile and stand on it until you see the ball drop on you Usually you don't want to try and get hits on the boss, instead just focus on finding the tile. This attack is super easy to resizable mode, however it can prove to be quite annoying on fixed. I usually scan where I'm at, then run towards the middle panning my camera as much as possible to find the tile. Sometimes I still fail, so very high hp is recommended for when this attack comes. Another thing to be aware of, is if the tile is very close to her, it is best to pray melee, as when she comes out of the attack she will sometimes instantly melee you and can deal 90+ in a hit. Now it will hit you some more with normal attacks After 5 hits it will launch a green ball at you that can deal up to 99, so you should always eat over 99 in preparation for this. Now it will send some more normal attacks and then It will then spawn a grey crab on the south west corner I recommend staying away from this area until you're familiar with the timings. If it gets in your way sometimes it's a good idea to freeze it. Also, when you see the crab spawn it is very beneficial to run around in a manner that leaves the boss closest to the center when the crab dies / web phase begins. The closer you get her to the middle, the less she will heal. The last thing you should be aware of is the purple cylinder. When she goes below 45% health she sends out a purple cylinder that will follow you and if it gets on you it does massive damage and heals her. It isn't too much of an issue until the yellow ball attack which you'll want to lure the cylinder away from the yellow tile and then get on the tile as late as you can without getting hit. Now that you've seen all the mechanics, I'll speed it up to the very end of the kill. Here you'll want to equip any drop rate increasing items you have (before you deal the finishing blow) Then go claim your loot. All attacks except a web and the crabs are nulled once she is killed, so it's best to watch out for those until they're gone. Hopefully this guide helped someone, and stole at least 300m out of the greasy pockets of GIANTS. What a nerd. Good luck pvming, and don't stay too long or else wildy will die Edited November 30, 2019 by rayp

wigger 68 Posted March 14, 2019 (edited) Might do a slight re-work, would mean I'd need to totally re-cut and edit it. I'll decide tomorrow if I'll commit to that. Did a little re-work so phase 3 syncs up better, didn't go the "high effort" route. Also added that pillars will rape you if you don't get out the way.
